Early German Literature in Cultural Context

In the past, this course has introduced students to medieval and Early Modern German literary and poetic works.

Some past works covered have included: Hildebrandslied, The Nibelungenlied, Hartmann von Aue's Iwein, Gregorius, Poor Henry, and Grimmelshausen's Adventures of a Simpleton.

These courses are taught in English; a knowledge of German is not required.
