Two hundred years of German literature, arts, philosophy, and social thought, as they reflect cultural and social life in German-speaking countries.
These courses are taught in English; a knowledge of German is not required.Some past topics have been:
- Professor Berman — Developments in Modern Germany
- Professor Becker-Cantarino — The Tales of German Romanticism
- Professor Hammermeister — Tales of Horror and the Uncanny
