GLL faculty members Bernd Fischer and May Mergenthaler will present papers as well as co-host a panel at the International Association for Germanic Studies in Shanghai, China, August 23 to 31, 2015 (http://www.ivg2015-tongji.com/), together with Julia Ng (Goldsmiths, University of London) and Erica Weitzman (Northwestern University).

The subject of their panel is “Lesen Germanisten anders? Zur kritischen Kompetenz von Literatur- und Kulturwissenschaft“ (Do German Studies Scholars Read Differently? On the Critical Competency of Literary and Cultural Studies).
