Fisher College of Business International Programs Office invites you to Elective Trek to Germany this summer from 08/28-09/05. Elective Trek is a faculty lead non-credit program. Elective Trek Germany will have a focus in logistics, but you don't have to be a logistics major in order to participate. All OSU students are welcome to join the trip.
GERMANY (Aug 29-Sept 5, 2009)
Visit Germany from August 29—September 5, 2009 to see a full complement of logistics companies at work in Europe's logistics hub. Cities will include Berlin, Hamburg, and Munich with site visits scheduled at BMW, Deutsche Bahn, Port of Hamburg, and Kühne and Nagel. Time will also be allocated for sightseeing and cultural visits. The cost of the trip is $1805, excluding airfare. You have the option of traveling with the faculty lead, Mike Knemeyer, or you can find the cheapest possible airfare and meet us in Berlin! NOTE: The cost of the trip will decrease to $1543 per person if 18 students sign up!

Gain valuable work experience in Germany through the Transatlantic Program
For the 5th consecutive year, the Transatlantic Program is offering the opportunity for a group of select U.S. students to gain practical work experience in Germany, Europe's leading economy.Up to 25 students of business, engineering, international relations and renewable energies are carefully matched to internship positions in their respective fields of study throughout Germany. The program takes place in SUMMER 2009 and the individual internships last 2 to 6 months. Participants gain valuable practical skills for their future careers, improve their language abilities and learn first-hand about the German business environment.
Unique to the Transatlantic Program is the pre-internship Immersion Seminar in Berlin, a ten-day program consisting of German language building activities, intercultural training and discussions with representatives from German business and politics. Highlights of the seminar include visits to companies and organizations and day trips to other key cities such as:
Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology, Berlin — Daimler AG, Berlin — Federal Foreign Office, Berlin — Porsche AG, Leipzig — Nordex AG Wind Power Plant, Rostock — Container Harbor, Hamburg — Dresden — Potsdam.
The group is brought together again for a Interim Seminar in Cologne to share experiences and for internship review.
