Christine Kanz, Prof. Dr. phil. habil., is professor of literary studies with a focus on modern German literary studies at the University of Education in Linz, Austria and Visiting Professor at Ghent University in Belgium. Her current work focuses on social-philosophical concepts of recognition, affect studies, German speaking nature writing (“Kritisches Naturschreiben”), the Anthropocene discourse, ecocriticism, and concepts of gender/nature relations. She is the founder and co-editor of the “Grüne Reihe” on ecocriticism (Metzler Verlag).
