Prologue Bookshop is proud to present Matthew H. Birkhold in conversation with Erin Lin for the release of his newest work, "Chasing Icebergs: How Frozen Freshwater Can Save the Planet". 

This event will take place at the Ross Community Studio inside WOSU on February 16th. The discussion will begin at 7:30pm, and a book signing will follow the conversation.

Matthew H. Birkhold is the author of Chasing Icebergs (Pegasus 2023) and the award-winning monograph Characters before Copyright (Oxford 2019). His writing has been featured in the New York Times, the Atlantic, Foreign Affairs, and Indian Country Today among other outlets. He holds a PhD from Princeton, a JD from Columbia, and a BA from Columbia. Matthew is currently an associate professor at the Ohio State University. Previously, he worked as an attorney-adviser for the U.S. State Department.

Erin Lin is an Assistant Professor of Political Science and Global Food Politics at the Ohio State University. In particular, she specializes in the political, economic, environmental, and agricultural repercussions of unexploded ordnance leftover from war. She is a team member of the Initiative for Food and Agricultural Transformation (INFACT), a university-wide effort to encourage cross-disciplinary research.
