Foerster selected as GLL's 2026-27 Max Kade Dissertation Fellow
We congratulate Marcel Foerster, PhD Candidate in the Department of Germanic Languages and Literatures, on being selected as the 2026-27 Max Kade Dissertation Fellow!
Last year, the Department awarded him a Graduate Associate Distinguished Teaching Award, and he continues to be an active member of our Umwelt Center for Germanic Studies & Environmental Humanities. In 2024, he received a GATA (Graduate Associate Teaching Award), which is Ohio State's highest recognition of the exceptional teaching provided by graduate students serving as Graduate Teaching Associates.
Marcel's research interests include Nature Simulation, German Climate Fiction (Cli-Fi), Cognitive Narratology, Narrative Theory, Environmental Humanities, Virtual Worlds (VW), New Media Studies, Postcolonial Studies, Applied Linguistics and Second Language Acquisition, German Romanticism and Realism, Intercultural Competence and Communication (ICC).
