John Davidson receives President and Provost's Award
John Davidson has been selected as a 2026 recipient of the President and Provost’s Award for Distinguished Faculty Service! Three faculty members were chosen to receive this honor for their outstanding university-wide service.
Professor Davidson has been recognized for his decades of extraordinary impact and exceptional leadership in service to The Ohio State University and beyond.
His leadership, impact, and unwavering commitment to academic excellence and student advocacy continue to shape our department and the university for the better.
The award was presented by Patrick Louchouam, Senior Vice Provost for Leadership and External Engagement and Helen Malone, Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs.
The Faculty Award for Distinguished University Service honors faculty members whose contributions to the development and implementation of university policies and programs through non-administrative roles have been extensive and have made documentable impact on the quality of the university. The recipients also have continued to provide effective teaching and have maintained an active program of research, scholarship, or creative work. Recipients are nominated by members of the university community and selected by a committee of faculty, administrators, and previous recipients.
