Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Prospective Graduate Students

Application Forms

and Requirements for the 2012-13 Academic Year

The Department of Germanic Languages and Literatures considers all of its graduate students for financial support, which is given either via a University Graduate Fellowship, a departmental Fellowship, a Graduate Teaching Associateship, or a Graduate Research Associateship. A tuition and fee waiver would also be provided. Applicants are automatically considered for these forms of support upon completion of the 2-step application process.

** Deadlines **

Financial support is provided to most of our students via a Graduate Teaching Associateship or a Graduate Research Associateship. One or two top students may receive a Blume Fellowship (non-teaching) from the Department. To be considered, both your Graduate Program and University applications must be complete by January 31.

In addition, the Ohio State University Graduate School provides support to students through the University Graduate Fellowship Competition.
