Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Dr. Rebecca Jordan’s research considers the intersections of queer, human-animal, and technology studies in contemporary German literature. She examines the representations of animal interaction and bodily immersion with technologies in changing climates and landscapes. Her research has covered fictional texts, from science fiction to horror, and nonfictional discussions of animal behavior in the Holocene, including novels by Dietmar Dath, Andreas Eschbach, Karen Duve and the poetry of Jan Wagner. Her current research examines the application of Artificial Intelligence in second language classroom creative projects, especially those focused on environmental challenges.
