“Editing Flora. Dataism in the Technocene”

4:00-5:30pm

October 17, 2022

Mendenhall 175
Main Campus

Flowers, ferns, trees – it appears as if plants were sprouting from every verse of contemporary lyric poetry. Considering the example of recent German-language lyric in particular, Christian Metz explores the circumstances and special features of this bloom, and the question of whether it has evolved into a poetic Dataism (no, not Dadaism).
