Flowers, ferns, trees – it appears as if plants were sprouting from every verse of contemporary lyric poetry. Considering the example of recent German-language lyric in particular, Christian Metz explores the circumstances and special features of this bloom, and the question of whether it has evolved into a poetic Dataism (no, not Dadaism).
