I am a first-year master’s student in the department interested in understanding the roots of German environmentalism. I am intrigued by the connections between religion and environmental stewardship, the portrayal of cultural nature values in writing, and nature personification in writing. I hope to use my research and work for application in a government context and make the U.S. more sustainable through study of German culture/environmental practices.
