Byram appears in ASC Voices of Excellence podcast
Katra Byram, Associate Professor, recently appeared on the College of Arts and Sciences Voices of Excellence podcast, speaking with host David Staley about her research and teaching. Byram and Staley discussed the idea of “cultural memory,” Byram’s research about novels and memoirs remembering German mothers and grandmothers of the World War II era, and the possibility that studying the German response to WWII has new relevance in a time when the US is confronting its own difficult past. They also talked about her research on tiny houses and her goals for the future.
This has been a busy year for Byram, who also spoke with Professor Frederick Aldama on his Professor Lantinx videocast, and presented her work on tiny houses at TEDxOhioStateUniversity 2020.
