In the photographer's words: "The double line of bricks seen in this photograph spans through the streets of Berlin, representing where the famous Berlin wall once stood. I took this photo as I crossed the brick path and noticed this metal plate marker. This spot is meaningful to me because many Germans risked their lives to cross the very line where I stand, yet today it is a heavily traveled path and now represents a unified nation."
