Consul General Wolfgang Mössinger and Fabrizio Micalizzi, assistant to the coordinator of transatlantic cooperation, Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany, Chicago visited Ohio State on May 4 to open a dialogue with current and former exchange students, scientists, researchers, and faculty on the benefits and challenges of collaboration between the two nations.
The campus visit included both virtual and in-person attendees, including our current TU Dresden Exchange Visitor, many GLL students, and Prof. Taleghani-Nikazm, Director of Undergraduate German Language Instruction. The discussion centered on “Germany’s Footprint in Research and Higher Education in Ohio, and a robust conversation followed, covering topics ranging from student mobility, funding opportunities, German language instruction, and government support for critical research in STEM fields.
