As part of the Bonn-Ohio State Exchange, GLL will welcome Marius Reisener to campus this spring. He will co-teach with Cynthia Porter and plans to deliver a talk on March 18th (details forthcoming).

Marius Reisener is a research assistant at the Institute for German Studies, Comparative Literature and Cultural Studies at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn. After completing his dissertation on „The Masculinity of the Novel" in 2020 at the Humboldt University of Berlin, he was a postdoc in the SNSF projects "ETHOS" and "FORM" at the University of Zurich. His research focuses on: 18th and 19th century literature, poetology of knowledge, gender studies (with a focus on critical masculinity studies) and the history of genres and forms (with a focus on the novel); he is currently working on the medical humanities, media theories and the cultural history of body perception disorder 1891-2030.
