Our very own Cynthia Porter will present her research as a part of the 2023 cohort of emerging scholars to share their research at this year’s GSA in Montréal on October 6 !

 “Food For Thought – Next Generation Scholarship in German Studies” is the theme of the showcase luncheon, and presentations will cover a wide range of disciplines represented within the GSA. Emerging and early career scholars, ranging from post-doctoral researchers to recently appointed assistant professors, were nominated to present brief synopses of their respective research for a general audience. Each participant submitted a pre-recorded introduction to their work, which will be posted to the German Studies Association YouTube channel in the coming weeks. A thought-provoking series of presentations is expected.
