Reitter translates Karl Marx's Capital
Paul Reitter, with Paul North (Editor), has been working on an annotated English edition of Marx Capital (Vol. 1), now set to be released by Princeton University Press in September 2024. Capital: Critique of Political Economy, Volume 1 includes Reitter's own new translation (the first new English translation in 50 years, and the only one based on the last German edition revised by Marx himself).
The upcoming volume features extensive original commentary, including a foreword by acclaimed political theorist Wendy Brown.
With a foreword by Wendy Brown and an afterword by William Clare Roberts, this is a critical edition of Capital for our time, one that faithfully preserves the vitality and directness of Marx’s German prose and renders his ideas newly relevant to modern readers.
