On Monday, March 18 at 11 am, the College of Arts and Sciences Office of Distance Education will host a teaching forum to discuss Guiding Principles and Innovative Use Cases for Teaching with A.I.
Faculty from the College of Arts and Sciences and university staff experts will share their perspectives on the opportunities and challenges of teaching in a time defined by a rapid acceleration of expanded use of A.I. tools. The panel discussion will include an explanation of how A.I. tools work, implications for academic integrity, principles for effective use, and examples of innovative use cases.
ASC ODE Teaching Forums are intended to be interactive spaces for instructors to learn from and inspire each other. Please bring your questions and comments about using A.I. to support your instruction, precautions relating to student privacy and data security, and the university approved AI tool (Copilot). A longer description of the panel discussion, anticipated outcomes, and a list of panelists can be viewed on the event webpage.
