Jeff studied abroad in Vienna as an undergraduate in 2002 and has spent academic years abroad at the Universität Salzburg (2007-2008) and Humboldt Universität zu Berlin (2010-2011).

In the summer of 2019, Jeff served as the Assistant Study-Abroad Director at the University of New Hampshire's "Summer in Berlin" program.

He has over two decades of teaching experience at the college level, guiding beginning and intermediate level German students at Bowling Green, Capital University, Denison University, and Ohio State.

Jeff is certified in TEFL/TESL at all levels. Since earning his certificate in 2019, Jeff has taught young learners in mainland China.
