The Department extends its heartfelt congratulations to John Davidson and Paul Reitter, both of whom were promoted to full professor this year.

Professor Davidson is widely known for his work on film and since 2005 has been directing the Film Studies Program on campus.

Professor Reitter has published extensively on German-Jewish topics and was appointed Director of the Humanities Institute in 2012.
